On the 27th of February, 2021 devastating news came from Moba (Democratic Republic of the Congo). With unfortunate circumstances the Moba village was demolished from very strong winds. The immediate effects led to demolished buildings including 4 places of worship, 2 secondary schools and 3 primary schools, leaving many people injured.
However despite this, when crisis occurs, Borashabaa helps rebuild livelihoods and works to find innovative and practical solutions for people to come together again. In doing so Borashabaa set up donations on ‘GoFundMe’. Through this we aimed to raise £1000 in order to give back to the broken community. We successfully met this target raising above £1000. With this financial support from our generous donators we were able to purchase resources and give back to those that lost so much in such unprecedented times.
